After a demanding but highly successful examination week, this year’s graduates were able to receive their certificates at the graduation ceremony. The Abitur certificates were presented by Ms Udert, the representative of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK), to Mariia Ariaeva, Alec Collier, and Francesco de Luca. Chester Collier received his Realschule graduation certificate.
Beforehand, however, the four future leaders had one final opportunity to share their reflections on their school years. They did so in a touching, honest, and humorous manner.
For example, not everyone attending the ceremony had previously been aware that the city of Cologne is, in fact, the centre of the universe. Fortunately, this gap in knowledge was addressed during the event by an attentive student from the geography course. Another highlight of the thoroughly successful celebration was a collection of videos put together by the female students and the male student of Grade 11.
The “Sabine Kulow Award”, donated by Mr Anil Sharma and presented for the best Abitur result, was awarded to Mariia Ariaeva. The award for the best student in lower secondary education (Sekundarstufe I) went to Jino Kim.
Congratulations to all award recipients and graduates!
