On February 25th, we welcomed our exchange partner nicely at 9 pm. We warmly greeted him and had dinner togetherOn the first day we visited Aravali Biodiversity Park in Vasant Vihar. In the park, we were guided by two scientists who showed us different plants and different butterflies. We were very lucky to see the tiger butterfly, which was very exciting. At the end we walked through the park to the exit, which was very nice.
Following that, we had lunch and visited the Red Fort, a 17th-century Mughal fortress. At first, we wandered through the fort, and in the evening we watched the beautiful light show.
On the second day we visited Yamuna Biodiversity Park. There, we learned about countless species of butterflies and plants. After spending about four hours exploring, we wrapped up the visit and went to a bird hospital where we saw many black kites, which were mostly injured by thin paper kite ropes. That is very sad! After spending about two hours at the hospital, we went back to school and watched the Oscar-nominated documentary “All That Breathes” in which the persons who run the clinic, two brothers, played a huge role. In the evening we went out to eat together, which was relaxing and fun.
On Friday, we stayed at school and arranged costumes for the upcoming school festival which was a carnival event at the same time and took place the next day. We also made a giant pirate flag. Around noon we were done. After the lunch break we had sports club during which we played volleyball. In the evening we visited the Ambience Mall and went home late at night.
The last day of the school exchange began in the afternoon. We headed to the school in different costumes because of the carnival festival. In the beginning every group presented their project. We showed our giant pirate flag and our awesome costumes. Later on in the day we danced to music, which was very nice. Afterwards we went home, and early in the morning the exchange students left for the airport, which was very sad and emotional.
