„Du Leo?“, fragte Mug und steckt einen Finger in die Nase. „Kann es sein, dass Coolsein ganz schön anstrengend ist? Wollen wir mit dem Coolsein bis morgen warten und erstmal spielen gehen?“ Leo muss kein bisschen überlegen: „Einverstanden!“
„Ab heute sind wir cool“ von Susann Opel-Götz
If one could hear excited conversations and enthusiastic whispers in our auditorium on Thursday, May 21, 2026, there was a very special reason for it: our annual Reading Competition for grades 1 to 5 took place that day. It was an exciting event that brought the joy of reading to life throughout our school community.
Even before the competition began, the excitement was clearly noticeable, as the students who had previously been selected in their classes were eager to present their reading skills in front of the audience and the jury. With great courage and enthusiasm, the children presented both prepared texts and unfamiliar passages. In doing so, they succeeded in taking their listeners into exciting, funny, and imaginative worlds of stories. The audience listened attentively and supported the readers with warm applause.
A shared reading quiz and an interactive storytelling activity also contributed to the lively atmosphere throughout the competition. All attendees participated with great enthusiasm and many creative ideas, making the morning a wonderful shared experience for the entire school community.
Based on previously established criteria, the jury selected one winner in each grade level. All participating children can be proud of their achievements and the confidence they showed throughout the event.
We warmly congratulate all students on their commitment and thank our jury, the supportive parents, and all participating teachers for helping to make this special morning such a success.
Once again, the Reading Competition showed that reading brings people together, creates joy, and brings stories to life. We are already looking forward to next year’s competition!
