Marteniza und Banitza beim "Principal´s Coffee"
Heute stand das "Principal`s Coffee" ganz unter dem Motto Bulgarien. In Vorbereitung auf das Schulfest hatten die bulgarischen Eltern zum Martenitza-Flechten eingeladen - dazu gab es hausgemachte Banitza sowie Kaffee und Kuchen zur Stärkung. Gut gelaunt wurden 200 Armbändchen in kurzer Zeit geflochten.
Die Marteniza ist im Wesentlichen ein Talisman für Gesundheit und ein langes Leben, was jeweils die Farben symbolisieren: rot für rote Wangen bzw. weiß für weißes Haar und hohes Alter. Vor dem Schulfest werden nun die Bändchen am Eingang an alle Gäste ausgeteilt.

Today, the theme of the "Principal's Coffee" revolved around Bulgaria. With regards to the preparation for the school festival, the Bulgarian parents had invited to make Martenitsa bracelets. There were even homemade banitsa and coffee and cake to relish. In a good mood 200 bracelets were braided in a short time.
The Martenitsa is essentially a lucky charm for health and a long life, which symbolize the colors: red for red cheeks and white for white hair and old age. Before the school festival the bracelet will be distributed to all the guests at the entry.
