Will the weather hold up? Will it rain? The weather remained right on Saturday until the end of our swim meet. What luck! Traditionally, the DSND Swim Festival is prepared by the final year students, and this year was no exception. The team, consisting of our three upcoming graduates and one Grade 11 student, had prepared a colourful mix of games and competitions for the day. After warming up together, the day started with a relay competition. Young and old students swam together as a team. Small games for the primary school children and a water polo tournament were then on the agenda. A highlight was certainly the water polo match between our school selection and a team of teachers. Even though the team led by Mr. de Luca was convincing in terms of play and Ms. Faber bravely threw herself against the balls in the goal, in the end our school selection did not win completely undeservedly. Congratulations!!! In the individual swimming competitions, our swimmers achieved excellent times at the end. Before the rain started, all the children were already dried, dressed and ironed and were waiting for their parents to pick them up.
