Dear parents and students,
Thanks to your energy and enthusiasm, we had a truly wonderful sports festival!
The sports festival began for the parents and children of the primary school at 8 am. Parents and children were divided into a total of 10 groups and together completed 10 tasks: ball throw, "parent taxi," water transport, balloons, skipping rope, tower building, memory, obstacle course, paper airplane construction and card collecting. Overall, it seems that the children enjoyed the balloons and, understandably, the parent taxi the most.
After an – as always – great performance by the Tae Kwon Do club, the winning team was announced. Another award ceremony took place during P.E. class.
After that, it was the turn of the secondary school students. Together with their parents, they faced five challenges in four teams: a highly complex card run, the climbing of a wall that could only be conquered in a combined effort, mastering the basketball throw, perfectioning badminton racket skills, and the facing the goal wall.
After that we ended the sports day with relay races in the pool. However, only one team won the fun relay as all the others had to be disqualified… On the other hand, the students easily defeated the teachers' relay team.
The day ended with a wonderful snack of pretzels and freshly cut fruit. For me it was truly a successful day all around!
