Your PTA reaching out to new arrivals.

Dear New New Delhites!

You have made your decision. You have registered your children in the German School of New Delhi. We should like to extend a very warm welcome to you and your family. Many changes will be coming your way in the next weeks. A change of country, home, a new job or lots of spare time as you now unemployed. The most frequently asked question in the following days often is:-Will our/my child/ children settle in his/her/their new school?

Speaking from experience we can reassure you that the integration of new students happens very smoothly. Often it is daily life in India that can be more challenging to manage. Even we "old hands" have good and bad days in this extraordinary country (Incredible India!)

Topics like: "How does our school work? Where can I find a good doctor? Where can I find reliable home help (staff) and how will my household run? Where should I go to shop for certain things? Or even what can I do in my spare time or at weekends? " will be on your mind. You will find some tips and advice in the FAQ on the website.

However, we the parents of the PTA at the DSND would like to offer you our support during your settling in period in India and will gladly offer you advice and a helping hand. If you would like to contact any member of the PTA please fill in the attached slip and hand it in at the school office. We will then contact you in the next 1-2 weeks.
